The 510 horsepower P-51B Mustang will be it’s most exclusive Mustang yet with only 51 models being produced. The Roush P-51B will only be available in coupe form with a 5-speed manual transmission and Vapor Silver paint. The ROUSH Performance P-51A Mustang is easily the highest horsepower Mustang that Roush has ever produced, and represents the first time that internal engine components have been upgraded by ROUSH technicians in their Livonia, Mich., facility. It was determined that the only way to give the P-51A moniker its due was to completely break into the 4.6L, 3V and rebuild several of the functional internal components, which include a forged steel eight-bolt crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons with increased dish to lower the compression from 9:8 to 8:6, and forged steel H-Beam connecting rods. These upgraded parts were necessary for the stock Ford engine (which comes with 300 horsepower from the factory) to be able to withstand the additional power generated from the newest iteration of the legendary ROUSHcharger supercharger system. Additional alterations include a custom aluminum upper and lower intake manifold for the high capacity air-to-water intercooler and ROUSHcharger. ROUSH installs a custom fuel rail and high-flow fuel injectors, a high-flow capacity fuel system, as well as a dual electronic throttle body. The new ROUSH P-51A engine has a preliminary rating of at least 510 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. torque. It is anticipated that final figures may even be slightly higher than this when final testing and calibration is approved by the ROUSH engineering staff. The changes to the ROUSH P-51A don't end under the hood. A ROUSH aerobody kit will be installed, which includes a front fascia, chin spoiler, hood scoop and rear spoiler. The ROUSH black high-flow grill is added along with cooling side shields to give the car the aggressive look it needs while stalking the streets. Internally the car will come with ROUSH sport leather seating and custom floor mats, both with an embroidered P-51A emblem. The white face gauges and billet aluminum pedals will get a lot of use as the driver bangs through the gears with the ROUSH short throw shift lever and retro black ball. For those who look behind the 18-inch ROUSH forged five-spoke wheels will see the vaunted Stage 3 suspension underneath this vehicle. Designed to handle even the tightest twists and turns, this suspension includes specially-engineered and tuned front struts, rear shocks, front and rear springs, front and rear sway bars and jounce bumpers. The front brakes are also upgraded with 14-inch front two-piece rotors and four-piston calipers. Each component was specifically engineered so that ride comfort was not compromised at the expense of the tremendous gains in performance.
This is my 3rd Roush Mustang (2006 Stage 1, 2007 Stage 3) and by far the most powerful and fun to drive. I custom ordered this vehicle and waited several months for it. It has every single option that a P-51A was available with including the Roush Mufflers (not standard) and the trunk mounted Tool Kit (not standard). I took delivery of the vehicle in mid August of 2008 (3 months old).
* This Vehicle has not been modified in any way. The vehicle has been serviced by the local Ford/Roush dealer where I order all my Ford Vehicles. The first service and tire rotation has been performed. She will be due shortly for her second service and tire rotation.

Up for auction is an 08 Mustang Convertible. It's had a fender, hood and front bumper cover replaced due to a light fender bender. E-bay cancelled my last ad and said I didn't have it listed properly. It does not have a salvage title. It did when I received it but it has been repaired with Ford parts, re-inspected and issued a new title. It's a regular title with being prior salvage. Anyways, here we go again. I bought the car and it's been repaired with Ford parts. It was a light front corner hit. The air bags did NOT go off and there was NO frame damage. It was a very easy fix and now we have a great o8 convertible with a very low reserve. The tires and rims are brand new Pirelli p235/55zr 17 , maybe 200 miles on them now. The car has the shaker 500 stereo with 6 cd changer that sounds incredible and all the other factory goodies. NADA clean retail is $22,325 and rough trade in is $17,025.

When are you going to have another chance to get an 08 Mustang convertible with 5,400 miles for $16,000?

Ford Motor Co. said Wednesday it is recalling 470,000 Ford Mustangs from the 2005-2008 model years to recalibrate how forcefully the air bag deploys on the front passenger side of the car. Internal testing showed the air bag could injure a small, unbelted passenger, said Ford spokesman Wesley Sherwood. The recall was posted on the website of the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Sherwood said the fix would address a very rare scenario, and there were no reports of injuries or accidents tied to the recall.

Nearly 435,000 of the recalled vehicles are in the United States, with most of the remaining vehicles in Mexico and Canada. The Dearborn-based automaker will notify customers by mail in early March.
