A 1988 Ford Mustang 5.0 lx convertible - don't have the room and it needs to go! I'm no mechanic by any means nor am I going to try to be one now, so please come inspect the vehicle for yourselves, don't have time to waste (as I'm sure you don't either) so please don't, just looking for a quick sale move it along and pass on a good deal to someone interested in working on these cars, no hagglers please if you want an 09 condition one spend the 20k and buy and 09 model - car is what it is - asking $1600 - make a reasonable offer and it's yours! I haven't driven the vehicle personally but for what it's worth I can tell you it has a current RI registration sticker good till 4-10 and it was just driven 30 miles to where it's parked now. Vehicle does have all power options, cruise, ac/heat, 5-speed, 114,854 miles, American Racing rims with about 80% tred life left, air intake pipe, exhaust (not sure what make) - rear strut brace underneath the car. Exterior could def. use some attention, rear is a little pushed in as you can see in the pictures, and needs some other cosmetic work and a paint job if you want a mustang to look pretty. *note again, this is a 19 year old car not an 09 model!! engine starts fine, but it needs the idle adjusted could use a tune up, has a new clutch but believe the clutch cable needs adjusting, interior is in great condition and really clean!

THIS IS A VERY RARE TRUCK AND IS 1 OF ONLY 27 MADE AND ONLY 24 WERE MADE FOR THE STREET, THE OTHER ONES WERE RACE TRUCKS THAT STEVE SALEEN SUCCESSFULLY RACED AND WON IN. THIS IS #27 OF 27 AND IS LISTED IN THE SALEEN REGISTRY. IF YOU ARE A SALEEN COLLECTOR, THEN THIS IS A MUST HAVE ITEM TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANOTHER ONE OF THESE UP FOR SALE ANYWHERE, EVER!!! THE TRUCK ITSELF HAS 32,000 ORIGINAL MILES AND IS NICE AND UNMOLESTED. I HAVE OWNER SEVERAL LATE 80'S SALEEN MUSTANGS AND IT IS FUNNY TO SEE ALL THE SALEEN SIGNATURE PARTS IN A FORD RANGER. THE BODY HAS A FULL CUSTOM BODY KIT WITH SALEEN STRIPES. THE INTERIOR IS REALLY NICE AND HAS FLOFIT SEATS, CUSTOM DOOR PANELS, SALEEN 140MPH SPEEDOMETER, SALEEN TACHOMETER AND A PIONEER SOUND SYSTEM. (THE ORIGINAL PIONEER RADIO WORKED ON AND OFF, SO WE INSTALLED A NEW PIONEER CD PLAYER AND KEPT THE ORIGINAL ONE.) THE SUSPENSION HAS BEEN TOTALLY UPGRADED AND SALEEN IS KNOWN FOR HANDLING FIRST AND FOREMOST. THE TRACK VERSIONS OF THESE TRUCKS RAN VERY WELL AND WON MOST OF IT'S RACES. THE 15" SALEEN WHEELS HAVE BRAND NEW TIRES ON THEM. MECHANICALLY SALEEN LEFT THESE TRUCKS ESSENTIALLY STOCK WITH THE 2.9 LITER V6 MOTOR, 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND 3:73 REAR END. IT HAS A FLOWMASTER MUFFLER WHICH WE ARE UNSURE IF IT IS STOCK OR NOT, BUT IT HAS THE SAME EXHAUST TIP THAT CAME ON THE 1989 SALEEN SSC MUSTANG. THIS IS A GREAT RUNNING AND DRIVING TRUCK AND IT SHOWS THAT IT HAS ONLY BEEN ENJOTED ON SUNNY DAYS AND GARAGED SINCE NEW AND HAS AVERAGED ONLY ABOUT 1500 MILES PER YEAR SINCE NEW. THIS IS A DEFINITE COLLECTORS ITEM AND IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED, ALL THE DESIRABLE CARS FROM THE 1980'S HAVE RECENTLY DOUBLED AND TRIPED IN VALUE. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS TRUCK, AS YOU MAY NEVER FIND ANOTHER ONE FOR SALE EVER!!!
